Overview

Transylvania University is a private, liberal arts college located in Lexington, Kentucky. Tansy was founded in 1780. The college is spread across an area of 35 acres. The University offers undergraduate programs in several subjects with majors and minors in subjects like accounting, anthropology, art and chemistry. In addition, the university also offers a variety of options for research programs in several subjects.

Pi Kappa Alpha, Delta Zeta, Crimson Crew and the Student Activities Board are some of the clubs and honors societies on campus. The university’s Student Government Council governs and organizes student activities. The University also publishes a self run magazine known as ‘Transylvania Magazine’.
