Overview
Tri-State College of Acupuncture was established in 1979 as the Tri-State Institute of Traditional Chinese Acupuncture. Founded by Mark D. Seem, it was then situated in Stamford, Connecticut. The institute moved to its present location in New York, New York, in 1994. It is the oldest school of acupuncture in the New York area, and is among the three oldest acupuncture institutes in the United States.
Tri-State College of Acupuncture offers a 3-year Master of Science degree in Acupuncture, and a 4-year Master of Science degree in Oriental Medicine. The courses incorporate both the traditional methods as well as the modern approaches. Moreover, students are provided hands-on training, and the benefit of evening and weekend classes.
To help students complete their education, Tri-State College of Acupuncture offers a number of financial assistance programs. Apart from Stafford Loans, TAP Grants, and GradPLUS Loans, eligible students can also apply for the New York State Regents Professional Opportunity Scholarships, and G.I. Bill benefits.
