Overview

Trinity University, also known as TU, was established in 1869 in Tehuacana, Texas, United States. It was founded by Cumberland Presbyterians. In 1902, the university was relocated to Waxahachie, Texas. Later in 1942, TU moved to its current location, which was originally the campus of the University of San Antonio. The university campus spreads across an area of more than 110 acres in San Antonio, Texas. TU offers more than 35 majors and over 45 minors in diverse areas of study and records an enrollment of over 2,600 students every year. It attracts students from more than 60 countries all over the world.

TU has several social fraternities and sororities such as Iota Chi Rho, Gamma Chi Delta, Omega Phi, Zeta Chi, Kappa Kappa Delta, Chi Delta Tau, Phi Sigma Chi, Chi Beta Epsilon, Phi Delta Kappa, Alpha Chi Lambda, and Sigma Theta Tau.

TU competes in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III and are a member of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference. Their sports teams are known as the Trinity Tigers.
