Overview

Trinity Washington University is located in Washington, D.C., United States. It was established in 1897 as a Catholic women’s college. The college was founded by the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur. During the 1960s, the first male students were admitted into the college's evening and weekend programs. It gained university status on September 10, 2004. Trinity enrolls approximately 2,000 students every year and is made up of the following academic schools and colleges:

Trinity Washington University has several fraternities and sororities including Phi Beta Kappa, Lambda Pi Eta, Pi Sigma Alpha, Alpha Sigma Lambda, Psi Chi, and Beta Kappa Chi. In addition, the university is home to over 20 student organizations such as the Campus Activities Association, Student Government Associatio, Black Student Alliance, Environmental Science Club, International Student Association, Women in Math Science and Engineering, and Film Club.
