Overview
Union County College, also known as UCC, was founded on October 16, 1933, as Union County Junior College. In its first year, the college enrolled 243 students. The college adopted its current name in 1982. It is the oldest community college of New Jersey. Presently, UCC offers more than 90 degree and certificate programs. UCC is divided into the following academic divisions:

UCC also offers numerous scholarships including the Alumni Association Scholarship, Ceinwen Bergen Memorial Scholarship, Joan and Pete Blatz Scholarship, and Emil Prazak Memorial Scholarship.
The athletic teams of UCC are referred to as the Rosters and are members of the National Junior College Athletic Association and Garden State Athletic Conference. The sports teams include baseball, soccer, basketball, golf, women’s basketball, and volleyball.
