Overview
The United States Coast Guard Academy is the military academy of the United States Coast Guard located in New London, Connecticut. The academy was established in 1876 to provide education to future Coast Guard officers. The USCGA offers a rich curriculum of science and professional development courses, along with major-specific courses. In addition, several of the majors offer specialization in various marine subjects, including marine and environmental science, civil engineering and mechanical engineering.
