Overview

The United States Naval Academy is located in Annapolis, Maryland, and is also referred to as Annapolis, The Boat School, Canoe U or The Academy. This undergraduate college was established in 1845 by the Secretary of the Navy, George Bancroft. The college offers degree and certificate programs in academic majors and minors to all its students. There are several academic divisions including professional development, humanities, engineering, mathematics and science.

The students at The Academy can take part in various clubs and organizations including the Dolphin Club, the Glee Club, Team Bill, the Pistol Club and the Baptist Student Union. The students participate in the sports available on campus including basketball, water polo, soccer, golf and cross country.
