United States Sports Academy

United States Sports Academy was established in 1972, and is situated in Daphne, Alabama. It was founded by Dr. Thomas P. Rosandich. In 1976, the academy signed an international agreement to offer training and educational programs in Bahrain State, situated in Arabian Gulf. The institute offers bachelor’s of sports science degree program, master’s of sports science degree programs, and doctor of Education in sports management to the students. It provides non-degree and degree programs in sports research and sports instruction.

The students of the academy participates in several sports activities. United States Sports Academy offers financial assistance to the students that qualify. Notable graduates of the academy include Mike Leach, Texas Tech Red Raiders head football coach; Greg McDermott, Iowa State Cyclones head basketball coach; and Jeff Mittie, CU Horned Frogs head women’s basketball coach.
