Overview
Unity College is a liberal arts college in Unity, Maine that was established as the Unity Institute of Liberal Arts and Sciences in 1965. The name of the college was changed to Unity College two years later. The college, which has a 225 acre campus, offers bachelor’s and associate’s degrees in diverse areas of study including environmental humanities, conservation law enforcement, and landscape horticulture.
Unity College is home to numerous clubs and organizations including the Conservation Law Club, the Interpretive Dance Club, the Buddhist Religion Club, the Search and Rescue Club, and the Ice Hockey Team Club. The college mascot is the Rams. Intercollegiate sports include women’s volleyball, and men’s and women’s basketball, soccer, and cross country.
The Dorothy W. Quimby Library of the college subscribes to over 400 scholarly publications, and has a collection of more than 50,000 volumes.
