Overview

The University of Arkansas at Monticello, also referred to as UAM, is located in Monticello, Arkansas, United States. It was established in the year 1909. It was originally known as the Fourth District Agricultural School. Students are offered degrees and certificate programs in various areas of study including natural science, nursing, and business administration. There are several schools and colleges under the university including the College of General Studies, Division of Agriculture, Division of Computer Information Systems, Division of Music, Division of Nursing, Division of ROTC, School of Arts and Humanities, School of Business, School of Education, School of Forest Resources, School of Mathematical and Natural Sciences, and School of Social and Behavioral Sciences.

Among the student clubs and organizations available at UAM are Alpha Phi Alpha, Creative Artists Society, Kappa Kappa Psi, Student Government Association, and Wildlife Society.
