Overview

University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, also known as UAMS, is located in Little Rock, Arkansas, United States. It was established in 1879. It is part of the University of Arkansas System and is a state-run school.

The college campus spreads across an area of more than 80 acres. UAMS has over 700 resident general practitioners completing their training at the college. The school offers medical care to patients and is the only all-inclusive teaching facility within the state for those pursuing health-care and medical degree programs. It has over 2,000 students in 6 academic units:
