Overview

The University of Colorado Denver was founded in 1912 and is also known as CU Denver. It is part of the University of Colorado system. CU Denver traces its origin to the creation of the medicine and surgery department of the University of Colorado in September, 1883, which later was combined with the Denver and Gross Medical College. Presently, the university covers more than 120 acres in Denver, Colorado. CU Denver offers over 100 degree programs and is divided into many academic units, such as:
