Overview
The University of Connecticut, also known as UConn, is the State of Connecticut's land-grant university. UConn was founded in the year 1881.The university occupies a total area of 4,104 acres. The University of Connecticut - Stamford is one of the many campuses of Uconn, and is located in Stamford, Connecticut.
UConn Stamford offers undergraduate programs, executive MBA courses, bachelor of general studies, non-degree study and accelerated pre-licensure programs, as well as several honors programs in subjects including American studies, business and technology, economics and English.
University of Connecticut - Stamford sponsors a large number of on-campus clubs and organizations. Students are members of associations such as the Husky Ambassadors, Psychology Club, Zero Tolerance, Huskies Go Green, Black Action Review, and Spectrum.
