Overview

The University of Houston–Victoria, also known as UH–Victoria or UHV, is a public university located in Victoria, Texas, United States. It was established in the year 1973 as the University of Houston Victoria Center. It is part of the University of Houston System. The university offers several degrees and programs in diverse areas of study. UH–Victoria is organized into the following academic schools:

  • School of Arts and Sciences

  • School of Education and Human Development
  • School of Nursing

UH–Victoria’s athletic teams are nicknamed the UHV Jaguars. UHV sponsors varsity baseball and softball teams that participate in the NAIA.
