Overview

The University of Maine at Augusta was founded in 1965 as the University of Maine’s continuing education division. However, in September 1967, it was given approval for operating as a campus of the University of Maine. It now has an urban campus and offers enrollment to more than 6,000 students every year. The University of Maine at Augusta has campuses in Augusta and Bangor.

Students can enroll for associates degrees or certificate programs in various areas of study. Courses are offered through the 3 primary academic units or colleges under the University of Maine at Augusta:
