The University of Maine at Fort Kent, also known as UMFK, is a public university located in Fort Kent, Maine, United States. It was established in 1878 as the Madawaska Training School. It was renamed as University of Maine at Fort Kent in 1970. The main campus is spread across an area of 54 acres. The university is a member of the University of Maine System. UMFK offers a wide variety of degrees and programs in diverse areas of study.
