Overview

University of Maine at Presque Isle, also referred to as UMPI, is located in Presque Isle, Maine, United States. It was established in the year 1903 as Aroostook State Normal School. The campus spreads over an area of approximately 150 acres. UMPI offers degrees in various areas of study including business management, education, human services, accounting, and psychology. The university is divided into four academic divisions, which are:

  • College of Professional Programs

UMPI houses Greek fraternities and sororities including Kappa Delta Phi and Phi Eta Sigma. The university's many student clubs and organizations include the College Republicans, Art Student Society, Owl Productions, Student Senate, French Club, and Native Voices.
