Overview
The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, also known as UMass-Dartmouth or UMD, is a multi-campus university located in North Dartmouth, Massachusetts, United States. It was established in 1895 and it received its present name in 1991. UMD is part of the statewide university system of the University of Massachusetts. The main campus covers over 700 acres. The university offers a wide variety of degrees and programs in diverse fields of study. UMD is organized into the following academic divisions:
