Missouri University of Science and Technology, formerly known as the University of Missouri–Rolla, is a co-educational, public university situated in Rolla, Missouri. The name of the university was recently changed in 2008. Missouri S&T is part of the University of Missouri System. The university was established in 1870 as the Missouri School of Mines and Metallurgy. It earned university status in 1964.
