Missouri University of Science and Technology, formerly known as the University of Missouri–Rolla, is a co-educational, public university situated in Rolla, Missouri. The name of the university was recently changed in 2008. Missouri S&T is part of the University of Missouri System. The university was established in 1870 as the Missouri School of Mines and Metallurgy. It earned university status in 1964.

Housing and MealsMissouri University Of Science And Technology provides on-campus housing for 1,813 of its 5,323 (full-time) students (as of 2008-2009). The school requires freshmen to live on campus. Students may purchase a meal plan which includes 19 meals weekly.
