Overview
The University of Mobile, also known as UM, is located in Prichard, Alabama, United States. It was established in 1961 as Mobile College, and Dr. William K. Weaver, Jr. became its first president on April 1, 1961. The first classroom and administration building were completed in 1963. The institute gained university status in 1993 and adopted its current name. UM attracts students from more than 10 nations. The university campus encompasses approximately 800 acres in Prichard. UM is divided into the following academic schools and college:

UM competes in the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference. Their sports teams are known as the Rams. The men’s athletic teams include golf, baseball, cross country, tennis, basketball, and soccer. The women’s teams include tennis, basketball, volleyball, golf, softball, and cross country.
