University Of Nebraska-Lincoln

The University of Nebraska–Lincoln, or UNL, is the flagship institution of the University of Nebraska system. It was founded in 1869 as a land-grant university under the provisions of the Morrill Act. Its main campus covers over 600 acres and is located in Lincoln, a few blocks north of the Nebraska State Capitol. UNL is an international leader in scholarly research, and a member of the Association of American Universities since 1909.

Nebraska was the first institution in the American West to grant a Ph.D. degree. UNL offers more than 140 undergraduate majors and over 270 programs of study through the following academic divisions:
