Overview
The University of Nevada Las Vegas, also known as UNLV, is a public, co-educational university located in Paradise, Nevada. The university campus is located on Maryland Parkway, in southeastern Las Vegas. Established in 1957, the university is now organized into three campuses, the main, the north and the Shadow Lane campus. In 2006, UNLV opened its first international campus in Singapore. The University of Nevada Las Vegas is well known for its programs in history, engineering, environmental studies, hotel administration, fine arts and management information systems.
The varsity sports teams of the University of Nevada Las Vegas are nicknamed the Rebels. The university sponsors basketball, baseball, and other sports teams.
