Overview
The University of New England, also known as UNE, is an independent, coeducational university comprising of two distinctive campuses in two Maine coastal cities. It was established in the year 1831. The main campus spreads across an area of more than 540 acres and includes over 25 buildings. In addition, the campus is home to a science education facility, the Harold Alfond Center for Health Sciences, and the Marine Science Education and Research Center. UNE offers degree programs in human services, health sciences, natural sciences, management, education, and the liberal arts. It is organized into the following academic units:

- College of Pharmacy
UNE’s student life is diverse. The campus is home to several student clubs and organizations. The University of New England's official mascot is known as the Nor'easters.
