Overview
University of New Hampshire, also referred to as UNH, is a coeducational, public university located in Durham, New hampshire, United States. It was established in 1866 as the New Hampshire College of Agriculture and Mechanic Arts. In 1923, it was renamed to its present moniker.
The University comprises the following colleges and schools:

The UNH campus is home to a number of Greek-letter fraternities and sororities. Some of these are Alpha Tau Omega, Alpha Sigma Phi, Sigma Alpha Epsilon, Alpha Sigma Phi, Alpha Chi Omega, Alpha Xi Delta, and Sigma Alpha. Approximately 8% of the students are members of the fraternities and sororities.
The University's sports teams are called the New Hampshire Wildcats or the UNH Wildcats. The official mascot is Wild E. Cat, a uniformed wildcat. The University sponsors various sports including basketball, cross-country running, and field hockey. It also sponsors numerous club sports including Aikido, archery, baseball, crew, cycling, dance, fencing, figure skating, Nordic skiing, rugby, sailing, softball, tennis, Taekwondo, wrestling, and the Woodsmen Club.
Notable alumni of the University include Richard Linnehan, astronaut; Ronald K. Noble, Secretary General of Interpol; and Michael Graziadei, actor.
