Overview

University of New Mexico-Valencia County Branch, also known as UNMVC, is a public university located in Los Lunas, New Mexico, United States. It was established in the year 1978. The campus spreads across an area of 150 acres. It is a campus university to the University of New Mexico, which was established in the year 1889. UNMVC offers majors in various fields of study.

UNMVC has an active student life and is home to several clubs and student organizations including Phi Theta Kappa and the Student Government and Student Association of Disabilities Awareness (SADA). The Student Government promotes student activities, and their relations with the faculty assists students with academic pursuits. UNMVC’s athletics department fields various men’s and women's sports teams. They compete in the Mountain West Conference. They are nicknamed the Lobos, and they participate in sports such as basketball and football.
