Overview

The University of North Carolina at Charlotte, also referred to as UNC Charlotte or Charlotte, was established on September 23, 1946. The main campus encompasses 1000 acres in Charlotte, North Carolina. In addition, UNC Charlotte offers the Charlotte Research Institute Campus, South Charlotte Campus (Ballantyne), and Uptown Charlotte Campus. The university attracts students from approximately 80 foreign countries, has more than 80 bachelor and undergraduate programs, and over 60 master degree programs.
