Overview

The University of North Texas Health Science Center was established in 1970. It is a public institution located in Fort Worth, Texas. The institution was opened as the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine, but it was given its present name in 1993. The campus is spread across an area of over 30 acres. The center awards master’s and doctoral-level degrees in diverse areas of study. The University of North Texas Health Science Center is organized into the following academic divisions:

  • Graduate School of Biomedical Science
  • School of Health Professions
  • School of Public Health
  • Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine

The University of North Texas Health Science Center is home to various clubs and organizations, including the American Association of Osteopathic Women Physicians, the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, the American Medical Student Association, the American Medical Student Association and the Basketball Club.
