Overview

The University of Richmond, U of R, was established in 1830, and is located in Richmond, Virginia. UR was originally established by Virginia Baptist as a school for men. The university campus covers nearly 350 acres in a suburban site on the western periphery of the city.

The university offers a combination of graduate and undergraduate programs. Richmond is organized into the following academic divisions:
