Overview

The University of South Carolina Beaufort, also known as USCB, is a public university located in Beaufort, United States. USCB was established in 1795 as Beaufort College. It was re-established again in 1959. The campus is spread across an area of more than 200 acres. It is one of the 3 senior campuses in the University of South Carolina system. The university offers a wide variety of degrees and programs in diverse areas of study.

USCB has an active student life. The campus is home to several student organizations and clubs. Their official mascot is the Sand Sharks. The athletics teams are NAIA members (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics). The sports teams take part in sports including baseball, cross country, golf, and track.
