Overview

The University of the District of Columbia was founded on August 1, 1977. The university is located in Washington, D.C and offers more than 175 undergraduate and graduate academic degrees through the following academic schools and colleges:

  • College of Arts & Science
  • David A. Clarke School of Law
  • School of Engineering and Applied Sciences

UDC has officially recognized several Greek letter organizations, including Delta Mu Delta, Alpha Phi Alpha, Psi Chi, Phi Beta Sigma, Omega Psi Phi, Alpha Kappa Alpha, Zeta Phi Beta, Delta Sigma Theta, Kappa Alpha Psi, Omicron Delta Epsilon and Iota Phi Theta.

UCD competes in the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division II. Its sports teams are known as the Firebirds.
