Overview

University of the Ozarks was founded by the Cumberland Presbyterians as Cane Hill School in 1834. The school was renamed as University of the Ozarks on achieving university status in 1987. The campus covers an area of 30 acres and is located in Clarksville, Arkansas. University of the Ozarks, also known as U of O, its recent enrollments have been over 600 students. U of O offers minors in a number of subjects such as art, chemistry, history, strategic communication, mathematics and environmental studies. Besides, U of O also offers pre-professional programs such as pre-pharmacy, pre-engineering, pre-medical sciences and pre-veterinary science.

The students in the university are actively involved in various clubs and organizations such as Student Publications and Broadcasting, Political Organizations, Student Government Organizations, Religious and Service Organizations, and Theatrical and Musical groups.
