Overview
The University of West Alabama, also known as UWA or U-DUB or U-WAH, is a public, four-year institution located in Livingston, Alabama, United States. It was chartered in the year 1835 as the Livingston Female Academy and State Normal College. After a few name and status changes, it was finally renamed University of West Alabama in 1995. The university offers both undergraduate and graduate degrees in diverse areas of study. U-WAH is organized into the following academic divisions:
