Overview

The University of Wisconsin-Parkside is a nationally accredited university situated in Kenosha, Wisconsin. UW-Parkside was created in 1965 by an act of the Wisconsin Legislature, and was formally established in 1968. The University of Wisconsin-Parkside offers several degrees and programs through its two academic divisions:

  • College of Arts & Sciences
  • School of Business & Technology

The University of Wisconsin-Parkside's sports department includes various men’s and women’s athletic teams. UW-Parkside is a member of the Great Lakes Valley Conference and the National Collegiate Athletic Association's Division II. Soccer, track, basketball and baseball teams are funded by the college. Some of the university’s famous graduates are Robert Wirch, Wisconsin state senator, and Abdul Jeelani, professional basketball player.
