Overview

The University of Wisconsin–Whitewater, also referred to as UW-Whitewater or UWW, was established in 1868 in Whitewater, Wisconsin. The first class of UWW was held on April 21, 1868, with 39 students and nine faculty members. The university offers numerous scholarship programs including the A Donald Beattie Memorial Scholarship, Alice Jane Sokol Scholarship, Clayton Droullard Mathematics Scholarship, Donald Graham History Scholarship, Jeffrey Kranz Management Scholarship, and many more. UWW is organized into the following schools and colleges:

  • School of Graduate Studies

There are many fraternities and sororities at UWW which are governed by the InterFraternity Council, National Pan-Hellenic Council,and Panhellenic Council. Some of these Greek organizations are the Lambda Chi Alpha, Phi Mu Alpha, Sigma Tau Gamma, Phi Chi Epsilon, Sigma Sigma Sigma, Alpha Sigma, Alpha Phi Alpha, Delta Sigma Theta, and Zeta Phi Beta.
