Overview
Vanguard University of Southern California, also known as VU, is a Christian, comprehensive University of Liberal Arts and Professional Studies located in Costa Mesa, California, United States. It was established in the year 1920 as the Southern California Bible School. VU offers a wide variety of degrees and programs in diverse areas of study. Vanguard University of Southern California's athletics department sponsors several men’s and women’s sports teams. They are members of the NAIA and the Golden State Athletic Conference. The sports teams are nicknamed the Lions.
