Vermont Law School

The Vermont Law School in South Royalton, Vermont, is a private law college. It was established in 1972 and has a campus area of 13 acres consisting of over 10 buildings. The college is generally abbreviated as VLS. The institute offers the students with degree programs leading to juris doctor or master’s degrees. The college also offers dual degrees for certain programs. The college has courses on areas such as environmental laws, international and comparative law, and alternative dispute resolution. The college has facilities for summer sessions and exchange programs. The college has the following academic divisions:

  • Institute for Energy and the Environment

VLS has an active Greek life consisting of the Phi Alpha Delta society. It also has a student bar association for student governance. The students also take part in community service. VLS has a number of special interest groups such as environmental law society, federalist society, equal justice foundation and the national lawyer’s guild. The college comes out with student publications such as the Forum and Hearsay.
