Overview
Victor Valley College, also known as VVC, is a community college located on Bear Valley Road in Victorville, California, United States. It was created by a vote of the public in 1960 and began with a student body of 500 students and 15 faculties. The main campus is spread across an area of more than 250 acres. The campus includes a technical complex, the Performing Arts Center, a gymnasium, parking lots, and other buildings.
The student population is more than 10,000, making it one of the larger community colleges in the state. The college provides more than 35 majors, the most popular being Liberal Arts, Registered Nursing, and Business Management.
In 2005, VVC experienced international academic success when its Model United Nations team competed in the renowned National Model United Nations conference in New York City, New York. They walked away with the top two awards for ‘outstanding delegation’ and ‘outstanding position paper’.
