Virginia College was originally founded in 1983 by the Atlantis Group in Roanoke, Virginia, United States. in 1989, it was taken over by Education Futures, Inc. In February 1992, the college's first branch campus was opened in Birmingham, Alabama. In 1995, Virginia College-Birmingham became the main campus of Virginia College. This college provides enrollment to approximately 2,000 students every year.
Students of Virginia College-Birmingham are offered both associate and diploma degrees in several fields of study. Students can choose from courses in the fields of interior design, criminal justice, health & medical study, computer technologies, and office or business management.
