Overview

Warren Wilson College is a liberal arts college located in the Swannanoa Valley, North Carolina. It was established in 1894. The college offers undergraduate and graduate program in several subjects, including English, biology and mathematics. The college also offers pre-professional programs in law, medicine and environmental management.

WWC’s campus hosts several student clubs and organizations, like the Jewish Student Association, tthe Meditation Hut and the School of the Americas Demonstration. The college has a student-run newspaper known as ‘The Echo Online.’ The sports teams of the college are nicknamed the Owls. Some of the notable alumni of the college are David Wilcox, folk musician; Billy Edd Wheeler, singer/ songwriter; and Sara Benincasa, comedian.
