Overview

Wartburg College is located in Waverly, Iowa, United States. It was established in the year 1852. It is under the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Pastor Georg Grosmann, a native of Neuendettelsau, Bavaria, played a vital role in its establishment. The college also has a satellite campus located in Denver, Colorado, United States. Students are offered degrees and certificate programs in diverse fields of study including communication arts, business administration, elementary education, biology, and psychology.

The college's Greek societies include Kappa Delta Pi, Delta Mu Delta, Lambda Pi Eta, Phi Alpha and Sigma Delta Pi. Wartburg College has many student clubs and organizations including the Black Student Union, Habitat for Humanity, The Castle Writers Group, Social Work Club, and Students for Peace and Justice.
