Overview

Waubonsee Community College is a two-year, community college located in the far western suburbs of Chicago, Illinois, United States. It was established in 1966. The three campuses of the college are located in Sugar Grove and Aurora. The philosophy of Waubonsee is that education is the cornerstone of a literate, democratic society. The college is a founding member of the Illinois Virtual Campus (IVC).

Waubonsee offers a wide variety of degrees and programs in diverse areas of study. It also provides courses to students statewide through the Illinois Community Colleges Online (ILCCO). Waubonsee also confers degrees online through more than 100 online courses.

Waubonsee is home to several student clubs and organizations. Some of these are the Organization of Adult Students for Interaction and Support (OASIS), phi theta kappa (phi omicron chapter), and Chiefs Athletic Club.
