Overview

Waynesburg University is located in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania, United States. It was established in 1849 as Waynesburg College. The college is a member of the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities. It was founded by the Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

The college campus covers an area of 70 acres and comprises of more than 23 buildings. Waynesburg College serves roughly 2,500 students every year. It has more than 70 degree options, and its top five areas are communication, business, sciences (as in nursing), education, and law. Doctorate and graduate programs are also offered.

Waynesburg University has an active student life. Some of the clubs and organizations are the Commuter Club, Black Student Union, and Women’s Association.

A few academic honoraries of Waynesburg University are Alpha Kappa Psi (Business), DRUS (Women's Honorary), and Sigma Theta Tau (Nursing). The university has a diverse student body and enrolls numerous international students who represent more than 20 states and many foreign countries.
