Overview
Webber International University, commonly abbreviated as WIU, is a private institute founded by Roger Babson and Grace Knight in 1927. They named the institute after Camilla Grace Webber, their grand daughter. It was initially opened as a women’s college, but it became co-educational since 1971. Located in Babson Park, Florida, the college has a 110-acre campus which offers both graduate and undergraduate study programs. WIU offers the students with associate’s, bachelor’s, and master’s degrees in areas such as accounting, corporate communications, hospitality and tourism, pre law, security management, and sports management.
WIU has an active Greek life consisting of Phi Beta Lambda society. The college also has a Pep and Jazz Band, Marketing Club, Sports Management Club and Society of Hosteurs. The college has a student publication called ‘The Warrior.’ The college has active participation in various athletic events and the athletes of WIU are nicknamed as the Warriors.

Athletics
School sports include football (Independent Southeast Region), basketball (Florida Sun Conference), baseball (Florida Sun Conference), and track (Florida Sun Conference).
