Overview
Wentworth Military Academy was established in 1880 as Hobson’s Select School for Boys. A year later it came to be known as Wentworth Male Academy. In 1890 the academy came to be known by its present name. Now the academy prepares both young men and women for a professional life. It is situated in Lexington, Missouri.
Wentworth Military Academy's recent enrollments have been more than 1000 students at the undergraduate level. The campus covers an area of 137 acres. Wentworth Military Academy offers two-year and four-year programs for becoming an officer in the army. Before joining the four-year scholarship program, students have to attain an associate’s degree in arts or science and the first two years commissioning program.
Students at Wentworth Military Academy take part in various extra-curricular activities and sports. Some of the students clubs at the college include Corps of Cadets, Honor Guard and Marching Band. Students are also involved in community service.
