Overview

Wesleyan College is a private women’s college in Macon Georgia. The college was chartered in 1836 as Georgia Female College. It opened its doors to 90 women on January 7, 1839. In 1917 the college came to be known by its current name. On a 220-acre campus, Wesleyan College's recent enrollments have been more than 600 students. Wesleyan College offers more than 20 majors in graduate and undergraduate studies. Some of the courses of study are human services, history, biological sciences, education, economics, theatre and international relations.

Wesleyan College has more than 40 clubs and organizations that are formed by students. The honor societies include Lambda Pi Eta, Psi Chi, Kappa Delta Epsilon and Alpha Psi Omega. Some of the other organizations and clubs include Junior Marshalls, InterVarsity, Circle K, Black Student Alliance, Cinematic Production and the Student Government Association.
