Overview
Wesleyan University is a private, liberal arts college located in Middletown, Connecticut, United States. It was established in 1831 by the Methodist leaders and prominent residents of Middletown. This secular university was named in honor of John Wesley, the Protestant theologian. Wesleyan University is considered to be among the most highly ranked institutes in the U.S. The campus spreads across an area of 360 acres and includes over 300 buildings. The university offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in diverse areas of study. Wesleyan University is organized into the following academic divisions:

Wesleyan University’s publications include the "Wesleyan Argus" and "Olla Podrida." The students also operate a radio station known as WESU, 88.1 FM. The campus is home to several student organizations and clubs. Wesleyan University also has an active Greek life with a number of fraternities and sororities.
