West Hills Community College is a public college. The original campus of the college is in Coalinga and was established in 1932. The college enrolls more than 1,200 students on an annual basis. West Hills Community College offers degree and certificate programs programs as well as online courses for its outstation students.

WHCC has student clubs and organizations that revolve around politics, art, academics and recreational activities. Men's baseball, basketball and football teams are sponsored by WHCC, while it also has volleyball and softball teams for women.
