Overview
West Virginia University (WVU) at Parkersburg, was established in 1961. Originally it was known as Parkersburg Community College. Today it is West Virginia’s fifth largest public college and is also the only college under the West Virginia University system that is maintaining a remedial curriculum. The West Virginia University campus at Parkersburg enrolls more than 3,000 students on an annual basis. Students here are offered various associate degrees, baccalaureate degree and certificate programs in a varied range of subjects.
WVU at Parkersburg offers its students many clubs and organizations including the Student Government Association (SGA) and the Criminal Justice Organization. Students can also participate in the various sports offered by the University.
