Overview
Western Connecticut State University is a public university in Danbury, Connecticut. It was established in 1903. WCSU offers a wide variety of degrees and programs in diverse areas of study. It is also home to The Jane Goodall Center for Excellence in Environmental Studies. It is organized into the following academic divisions:

WCSU operates two campuses that are located five miles apart and are connected by a campus bus service. The main campus is spread across an area of over 430 acres. It operates a radio station, known as WXCI, 91.7 FM; and a student-run newspaper called The Echo.
