Overview

Western Nebraska Community College, also known as WNCC, is located in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, United States. It opened its doors in 1926. The college was founded as an extension of the University of Nebraska and was formerly known as Scottsbluff Junior College.

WNCC has two branch campuses located in Alliance Nebraska and Sidney. The college offers over 80 degree and certificate programs.

Western Nebraska Community College has an active student life and is home to numerous clubs and organizations. Some of them are the United Leaders for Cultural Diversity, Student Education Association of NE, Criminal Justice Club, and Art Club.

The college's sports teams are nicknamed the Cougars. They participate in several sports such as soccer, basketball, softball, volleyball, and baseball.
